All,
Chief Farrimond and I are excited to announce the successful overhaul of our flight training program. Where Warrant Officer Flight Training (WOFT) once took up to eight weeks, it now should take only about three days of training spread over two weeks -- provided you pass all your examinations! This brings WOFT more in line with OSUT, but the compression has been made without any reduction in material: rest assured, our pilot corps will maintain the same high standards it has kept and exceeded in past months.
With that said, Iron Eagles are excited to induct pioneering new members. If you've been interested in flight, now is your time to speak to your squad leader and transfer. There is no rank requirement: everyone, including PVTs, are welcome to transfer. Infantry-flight transfers benefit from essentially guaranteed approval during this period. Chief and I hope to see several transfers -- after all, without flight, we don't fight!
Thanks,
ETHAN B. HERMANSON
