Fun Facts About The (Real) 4thID

1. The 4thID supplied two Companies of armor to Task Force 121 to aid in the capture of Saddam Hussein on December 13, 2003.
   
2. The 4thID has had 20 Medals of Honor, counting for 3 of the 6 Medals of Honor given during the Operation Enduring Freedom.
   
3. The 4thID was formed on November 17, 1917 making it 101 years old!
   
4. They were the only American combat force to serve with both the French and the British in their respective sectors, as well as with all Corps in the American sector in the "Great War".
   
5. During H-Hour of WW2 on Utah beach the 4thID spearheaded the assualt paving the way for the VII Corps!
   
6. On September 11, 1944, a patrol from the 4th Infantry Division became the first Allied ground force to enter Germany.
